Open consultation on the priorities of the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda to begin 20th July, 2020.
NEANIAS to help interactive exploration of Mars composition via spectral data access.
Planetary science is very broad, with subjects of study ranging from the interiors of planets and moons to the space environment in between them, and a wide range of bodies, from dust to giant planets. Even just within terrestrial planets, there is a lot of geologic diversity. Different Solar System bodies are characterized by a variable complexity, which is reflected by their surface geology and composition.
NEANIAS will integrate the thematic services into the EOSC ecosystem after they reach the maturity required by EOSC. The first plan for the Integration of the NEANIAS services into the European Open Science Ecosystem has been prepared as part of the project’s Deliverable 8.1 which was submitted in August 2020.
On Friday 19.6.2020, at ATHENA RC premises, NEANIAS project representatives, welcomed representatives of winning teams of the Athens CopHackOn 2020.
One year more, Copernicus Hackathon 2020 in Athens finished successfully, with a high level of the participants. NEANIAS project has been fully involved with the event, since the innovation and the search for technological solutions to today's challenges in our environment is part of our essence. The teams have carried out an outstanding work, and that is the best result for us.
NEANIAS (Novel EOSC Services for Emerging Atmosphere, Underwater & Space Challenges) will promote Open Science practices and play active role in the materialization of the EOSC ecosystem by efficiently engaging large scientific and professional communities; actively contributing to the technological, procedural, strategic and business development of EOSC.
NEANIAS, by taking the principles of open innovation into account is working rapidly on developing the services regarding the Underwater, Atmospheric and Space thematic fields. In the frame of WP5, on defining the business cases, the potential end-users are involved in testing and designing each service of NEANIAS. By involving the end-users, NEANIAS services will be developed in align with the needs of end-users by meeting their specific requirements while testing and integrating their services in their everyday circumstances.
We are proud to announce that Eleni Petra, Project Manager and Georgios Kakaletris, Technical Manager of NEANIAS project, became recently members of the EOSC Training and Skills Working Group and the Architecture Working Group respectively.
