NEANIAS at the European Astronomical Society Annual Meeting 2022.

NEANIAS Space was present at the European Astronomical Society Annual Meeting (EAS2022), that took place in Valencia (Spain) from 27 June to 1 July 2022. 

The European Astronomical Society (EAS) Annual Meeting (formerly known as EWASS, and earlier JENAM) has more than 25 years of tradition and it has imposed itself as the largest conference for European astronomy. In addition to plenary sessions and the award of prestigious prizes, the conference hosts many symposia held in parallel, as well as special sessions and meetings.

INAF represented NEANIAS at this event that had more than 2000 attendees with a very active participation in the session "Towards the SKA Observatory: Artificial Intelligence in radio astronomy".

On June 29, 2022, Filomena Bufano and Cristobal Bordiu presented the results on Supernova Remnants exploiting the NEANIAS S3 Latent Space Explorer service, and contributed with the talk "An unsupervised take on the Galactic Supernova Remnant population". 

On June 29, 2022, Eva Sciacca presented the NEANIAS S3 ASTRO-ML service and the eposter "A benchmark on Deep Learning methods for Radio Astronomical images Object Detection and Segmentation".
