Bonn, 23-27/05/2022.
NEANIAS project was presented by one of its partners - Meteorological and Environmental Earth Observation (MEEO) - at the Living Planet Symposium 2022 (LPS22), which took place in Bonn (Germany) from May 23 to 27, 2022.
This ESA Living Planet Symposium focuses on how Earth observation contributes to science and society, and how disruptive technologies and actors are changing the traditional Earth observation landscape, which is also creating new opportunities for public and private sector interactions.
The role of MEEO in NEANIAS is twofold: from one side MEEO acts as technology provider to enlarge the core services portfolio with Data Exploration services; from the other MEEO is supporting the design and implementation of thematic services under the Atmospheric and Space domains.
At the booth we had a good attendance along the full week, with more than hundred people each day. NEANIAS partner made a series of live demos to showcase how MEEO is supporting the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) activities also within the NEANIAS project, and the innovation and business opportunities of the solutions were discussed. The target audience included scientists, data providers, industries, policy makers and stakeholders (European and national Space Agencies).
