NEANIAS had to have attended MWC 2020 in Barcelona…

Barcelona, 25/02/2020.

The GSMA MWC series (formally known as Mobile World Congress) is the world’s leading exhibition for the mobile & connectivity industry, including also topics such as IoT, cloud services and cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, management platforms, machine learning, block chain, security or visual analytics.

It is set to attract more than 109.000 professionals from over 200 countries and regions between 24-27 February, 2020. This year's theme was "Limitless: intelligent connectivity" and the congress should be the meeting point for the global mobile sector, where the latest products and services are showcased and new tendencies are discussed, meeting the industry, the academia, business companies and public organizations.

The objective of NEANIAS was to present the project, enriching networking, identifying new business models and opportunities, and establishing connections with the ecosystem, as well as identifying new trends and technological opportunities in the project's application areas.

Regrettably, due regard to the safe and healthy environment, the GSMA cancelled MWC Barcelona 2020 because the global concern regarding the coronavirus outbreak, travel concern and other circumstances, make it impossible for the GSMA to hold the event. GSMA Statement on MWC Barcelona 2020.

However, the NEANIAS team held many e-meetings with relevant players in order to keep up-to-date and enrich the knowledge on the mentioned topics. We hope that next year the Congress can be face to face again!
