NEANIAS at the European Astronomical Society Annual Meeting.

30/06/2020.

INAF, Osservatorio Astrofisico di Catania (Italy), is representing NEANIAS at the European Astronomical Society Annual Meeting, 29 June-3 July. Initially it should to be held at Leiden, but finally has been moved to virtual due to CODIV-19 and health issues.

Annual Meeting is the largest conference for European astronomy, with more than 25 years of tradition. It represents a unique chance to interchange scientific knowledge and innovative ideas between experts in diverse fields of astrophysics research.

NEANIAS will present “Tackling the challenges of future astronomy” at Session: SS8 –Machine learning and visualisation: bracing for data deluge in astronomy, by Filomena Bufano, Cristobal Bordiu and Eva Sciacca.  In this talk, we will introduce the NEANIAS project to the European Astrophysics Community focusing on how the foreseen space services of visualisation, mosaicking and structure detection will boost astronomer’s productivity when facing the overwhelming amount of data generated by next-generation facilities.
