The Geo Datathon was held on March 28, 2022, by Università Degli Studi di Milano Bicocca.

It was focused on introducing the NEANIAS ATMO-STRESS service to students in a specific geology event at the university.

The ATMO-STRESS service, developed in the framework of the NEANIAS project, fills the the geological community need of the implementation of a service capable of calculating and visualize the stress trajectories in plan and 3D view correlating the distance of the earthquake epicentre and hypocentre location from the crater, the tectonic stress characteristics (fault kinematics trajectories of the principal stresses obtainable from the earthquake focal mechanism solution), and the magnitude of the seismic event.

25 students participated in the event, experiencing the NEANIAS EOSC services and providing interesting feed-back to the project team. One of the most common feed-back was that the service is very easy to learn and use. Next release will be focused on the improving of the computing capacity.
