NEANIAS Underwater participated in an exchange of experience between researchers.

Exchange of expertise between researchers from the Laboratory of Physical Geography of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Archipelagos - Institute of Marine Conservation, on board the Aegean Explorer.

During field research in the waters of the north-eastern Aegean, the researchers combine data and information from underwater geological/geomorphological research, and from the research on the biodiversity in the waters of the mesophotic zone. The two research teams have devoted long hours at sea during the past week, with the aim to make use of NEANIAS Project WP2-Underwater services so as to process and visualize raw multibeam data of different vendor formats, produce digital terrain models from underwater photos, classify the seabed, and construct 2D/3D mosaics.
