Barcelona, 15-17/11/2021

NEANIAS representatives attended the Smart City Expo World Congress, held both face to face in Barcelona and online.

The Smart City Expo World Congress is the international platform where all urban stakeholders meet to open new paths for public-private collaboration. With 55% of the population living in urban areas and climate emergency declarations issued by hundreds of councils and jurisdictions worldwide, cities need to lead the way in maximizing nature’s value, bridging the multidimensional inequality gap and supporting a gas-free future.

The congress consisted in three-day program with international experts coming together to share insights and learn best practices for a more sustainable urban world, both online and in Barcelona. A worldwide dialogue that shaped the next steps for urban development. Some tracks of discussion were Enabling Technologies, Energy & Environment, Tomorrow Mobility World Congress, Governance, Living & Inclusion, Economy, Infrastructure & Buildings, and Safety & Security.

In addition, a marketplace where global companies and organizations were able to engage with worldwide professional attendees and showed the world their cutting-edge projects and smart implemented solutions. Multiple agora spaces provided opportunities to encounter business opportunities.
