In the context of WP7 Delivery, NEANIAS hosts a webinar on Research Data Management (RDM) on Feb 3rd 11:00-12:30 CET. The event is related to the task "Capacity Building", which with the delivery of capacities to researchers, engineers and innovators, deals with the organization and management of materials and sessions.

The event aims to provide fundamental training on Research Data Management (RDM), which forms an integral component of H2020 / Horizon Europe programmes. The training will communicate current best practices for activities included in data management lifecycles and plans, such as data organization, metadata, data storage, legal requirements as well as examine FAIR principles implementation in the research conduct. Available RDM guides and tools will be shared with researchers and the breakout sessions will enable them to use the tools while getting familiar with common RDM concepts. In addition, the event will highlight the benefits and drivers of data management and address common misconceptions of researchers.

The agenda is as follows:

  • Introduction
  • Main Presentations
  • Break out sessions
  • Wrap-up
  • Menti & Closing

At the end of the training, researchers will be able to:

  • Understand which data can be shared openly and which need to be protected.
  • Understand the FAIR data principles.
  • Select which data to keep and find an appropriate repository for them.
  • Understand funder requirements.
  • Understand how to re-use data and know how to select the appropriate license for research data.
  • Understand research data management for basic quality assurance, replicability and reusability.
  • Learn tips on how to get maximum impact from research data.

This is the first of a series of sessions that deal with Open Science-FAIR principles and their application to NEANIAS, in an effort to facilitate and accelerate our project's adoptions of these notions.
