SPIE is the international society for optics and photonics that annually organizes and sponsors approximately 25 major technical forums, exhibitions, and education programs in North America, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific, where more than 35,000 scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs showcase the latest innovations across a wide range of technologies.

The SPIE Astronomical Telescopes + Instrumentation is the symposium that advances astronomical engineering of ground- and space-based telescopes, the supporting technologies, and the latest instrumentation. Experts in this community gather to share recent results, present new concepts, and discuss ongoing and future telescope projects.

This year the symposium has been organized as Digital Forum including live plenary presentations, on-demand technical talks, and several opportunities to connect.

Eva Sciacca from INAF presented the activities related to the implementation and integration into EOSC of the Visual Analytics services for Astrophysics, specifically addressing challenges related to data management, mapping and structure detection.
