NEANIAS attended the e-Infrastructures Reflection Group workshop (e-IRG) that took place virtual from December 1 to 2, 2020.

e-IRG is a strategic body to facilitate integration in the area of European e-Infrastructures and connected services, within and between member states, at the European level and globally. Its mission is to support both coherent, innovative and strategic European e-Infrastructure policymaking and the development of convergent and sustainable e-Infrastructure services.

The e-IRG Workshop consisted of a series of three sessions spread over 2 days, and was organized within the framework of the German's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The first session was dedicated to Research Data Infrastructure, with many discussions on sustainability of e-infrastructures, business models of data infrastructures and interesting presentations on success cases and experiences in Europe. Session 2 was dedicated to digital transformation and public health, and session 3 focused on digitalization and green deal. The event had the participation of Robert Lovas, deputy director at Institute for Computer Science and Control (SZTAKI), who also leads the work package 6 “Core Services” in the NEANIAS project.
