NEANIAS participated in the 16th Plenary Meeting to present part of our work on Data Management Planning and our contribution in interoperability of the tool.

The Research Data Alliance (RDA) builds the social and technical bridges to enable the open sharing and re-use of data. With over 10000 members from 145 countries, RDA provides a neutral space where its members can come together to develop and adopt infrastructure that promotes data-sharing and data-driven research.

The main aim of the event was to inform everyone on the recent developments regarding machine-actionable DMPs and to identify new areas that require coordinated action, and specifically:

  • Demonstrate adoptions for the DMP Common standard
  • Encourage adoption of the DMP Common standard
  • Promote discussion of the DMP Common standard

The target audience of the event was anyone who might benefit from creating machine actionable data management plans. This include researchers, repository operators, service providers, policy makers, research facilitators. While we are looking for people who could directly adopt the model, we are also looking for generally interested people who can advise and test assumptions and processes.

Elli Papadopoulou, George Kakaletris, Diamadis Tziotzios from ATHENA Research & Innovation Center represented NEANIAS project, implementing the DMP Common Standard on the Argos service for maDMPs. Our part of work relates to the experiences drawn by the use of the software, which contributed to a new UI /UX as well as refinement of interoperability and its underlying model.
