This year the OpenAIRE General Assembly went virtual. During OpenAIRE Week, from October 12th until October 16th 2020, NEANIAS participated in a mix of internal meetings: in the morning with OpenAIRE partners, and external webinars in the afternoon.

The goal was to know more about OpenAIRE at the European and global stage, the connection with EOSC, the Open Science Gateways, and OpenAIRE services for content providers and for researchers.

Day 1 Sessions included the kick off and was focused on the practical implementation as the next step in making Open Science work. The welcome was introduced by Yannis Ioannidis, from Athena Research Centre, Director of OpenAIRE AMKE. Day 2 Sessions examined the shared building blocks for open science around policy and infrastructure. Day 3 Sessions purposed to provide the setting for OpenAIRE in European and global stage of content providers. Day 4 Sessions presented OpenAIRE for researchers and beyond. Finally, Day 5 Sessions presented the OpenAIRE services that support research communities, initiatives, and infrastructures at implementing and monitoring the uptake of Open Science principles.
