NEANIAS attended the webinar dedicated to analyzing cloud migration from a business perspective.

IT managers rightly expect to review a business case and ROI assessment before approving a critical and complex move like cloud migration. However, calculating return on investment for cloud migration is complex.

An interesting event organized by Mobile World about how to compare existing costs with costs of migration and operation in the cloud, factoring in “hidden” costs (real estate, electricity etc.), and articulating the value of intangible cloud benefits like business agility and time-to-market.  These issues can apply to both commercial and research services, such as those proposed by NEANIAS among its challenges.
